Meet Allison Moala, DDS, Geneva Community Health

“I wanted to be a dentist since I was 13. I enjoy working with my hands and dentistry is like sculpture. I love the fine detail.”

Allison Moala, DDS

Dr. Moala grew up with a family member who altered the way they smiled throughout their life due to struggles with their teeth. That made an impression on her. She realized that teeth are part of our identity and confidence.

Dr. Moala started her career in corporate, cosmetic, and private practices beefore landing at a community health center. Her expereince in all those practices helped her realize how much public health dentistry aligns with her ethics, philosophies, and character, She worked at two other community health centers and was looking for a place with a similar mission when she found Finger Lakes Community Health and we’re glad she did.

She is very passionate about educating patients about how to improve oral health and how it relates to their overal health and nutrition. She also emphasizes prevention and takes a conservative approach to treatment. “Once you drill a tooth, it sets that tooth up for a lifetime of potential issues,” said Dr. Moala. Her bedside manner and a gentle approach are very important to her because it can impact how comfortable and safe patients feel.

In her spare time you can find her with her husband and kids playing sports, attending church and church activities. She loves to travel for new experiences and cultures while making memories together.
