Lauren has always been drawn to complex cases and critical situations that require quick thinking and teamwork. As a flight nurse, she realized that the patient in the helicopter may never have needed emergency care if they had better access to primary care. That inspired her to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
As an FNP, she wants to help people stay healthier and prevent crises before they happen. Lauren has a strong focus on evidence-based guidelines, while also recognizing that no two patients are exactly alike. Her style is to be direct and practical aiming to give patients clear explanations, realistic options, and care plans that are safe and effective. She believes in balancing science with common sense and tailoring decisions to the individual right in front of her.
Lauren chose to work at a community health center because she believes everyone deserves access to high-quality healthcare close to home. At Finger Lakes Community Helath, she gets to be part of a team that shares that commitment and works together to bring care to people who might otherwise go without.
When she isn’t working she spends time with family and friends.
