We Bring Health Education to You
At Finger Lakes Community Health, we are not only healers and providers, we are health educators and advocates. Education is a regular part of the patient visit at our health centers. In addition, our team does community outreach. Our Health Advocates address parents, schools, churches, health and human service agencies, and community groups using evidence-based, medically accurate information. Upon request, we can provide specialized curriculums to teachers and schools, using books, videos, and other materials. Our programs are free and designed to get people talking about issues in an open and non-judgmental forum.
Our health education topics may include any of the following:
- Healthy Relationships
- Consent
- Healthy Pregnancies
- Teen Development
- Peer Pressure
- Body Image and Self Esteem
- Decision-making Skills
- HIV/AIDS
- Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI)
- Communication
- Goals and Priorities
