They call him "Dr. Tony." Meet our Chief Dental Officer.
Tony Mendicino Jr., Chief Dental Officer
Awarded Dr. Gary Ogden Rural Health Practitioner of the Year and recently The Dr. Elmer Green Oral Public Health Award.
Most people dread going to the dentist but Dr. Anthony Mendicino makes his patients feel so at ease, that they call him “Dr. Tony.” So much so that he was recognized twice with prestigious awards. First, The Dr. Gary Ogden Rural Health Practitioner of the Year Award by the NYS Association of Rural Health (NYSARH). Like Dr. Ogden, Dr. Tony’s kindness and humor help him improve oral health in our community. And most recently, he was selected for The Dr. Elmer Green Oral Public Health Award by the New York State Oral Health Coaliton.
He says, “Since very few patients enjoy coming to the dentist, I try to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible.” A graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Dentistry, Dr. Mendicino has 22 years’ experience in community dental health. He oversees our dental staff, as well as our community outreach programs in oral health. “I love working here because I can give patients my full attention. I can take the time to listen, put them at ease, and educate them on the importance of oral care and prevention. We have progressive technological services not every dental practice has, such as Teledentistry. Our patients are appreciative of our work, which is gratifying.”
